Two beautiful old-time tunes performed here in the classic string band style. “Rachel” is a Southern mountain tune and “St. Anne’s Reel” comes originally from French-Canada. The earliest commercial recording of the latter seems to be by Canadian fiddler, Joseph Allard (Victor 263675) in late 1928.
